What is Auro Padel?
Auro Padel is a Spanish company founded in early 2022, though its purpose had been growing for many years before that.
Over more than 20 years on court, our founder worked with hundreds of players and discovered an undeniable truth: most technical mistakes begin with how you hold the racket.

Meet the creator and founder
Marco Lucas
Marco Antonio Lucas Santos, born in Palencia, has devoted his whole life to racket sports. He has carried a racket since he was 9 years old, played tennis until he was 20, and then made a decision that would shape the rest of his life — dedicating himself to the world of padel.
He competed professionally for many years and has been a padel coach ever since. With more than 30 years of experience in sports teaching, he has coached professional players such as Edu Alonso, Tamara Icardo, Álex Arroyo and Javi Rico. Today he coaches Ksenia Sharifova, world number 20 in the FIP ranking.
Throughout his coaching career he has faced the same vital challenge with his students — establishing a correct grip. According to Marco Lucas, the way you hold the racket is a decisive factor in the technique of every stroke:

Say hello to Ksenia Sharifova
Our story cannot be understood without hers
Born on the remote island of Sakhalin, Russia, Ksenia grew up among tennis rackets and big dreams. Sport shaped her life from a very young age, and that same passion led her, at just 16, to make a decision as brave as it is rare: moving alone to Valencia, Spain, to chase a professional tennis career.
For years her life revolved around discipline and sacrifice, until at 20, without a clear direction and under accumulated pressure, she decided to step back. She traded the court for a club reception desk — not knowing the racket had not said its last word.
The unexpected turn came at 24. Marco Lucas, padel coach and founder of Auro Padel, suggested she try the sport. What began as a trial became a passion: within weeks she was competing in her first tournament. Padel gave her back the spark, the motivation — and a new purpose.
Ksenia went all in. She left her job and poured body and soul into building a career from zero. No points, no sponsors, no guarantees — only talent, a tireless work ethic and an iron mindset. Today she is world number 20 in the FIP ranking, and has been with Auro Padel since the very beginning.
