Before you choose
Two products that are easy to confuse, and one decision that depends on which one you actually came for.
Which one do you need?
AURO Grip and AURO Overgrip are not two versions of the same thing, and they are not alternatives to each other. The overgrip is a consumable: the surface your hand touches, replaced when it stops gripping. AURO Grip is a reusable piece that gives the hand a physical reference for finding the continental grip without looking down at the handle. Most people buying for the first time end up with both, because they solve different problems.
The order on the handle
Base grip first, then the overgrip wrapped over it, then AURO Grip on top. AURO Grip is the outermost layer, the one the hand actually meets, and the last thing to go onto the handle. This is the detail most often got wrong, including by sources describing the product secondhand, so it is worth stating plainly: once AURO Grip is fitted, nothing covers it.
Right hand or left hand
AURO Grip is not symmetrical, so it is made in a right-handed and a left-handed version and you pick yours in the card above. Each one has two positions 180 degrees apart. Choosing the wrong hand is the most common ordering mistake and the easiest one to avoid.
Which overgrip format
The three formats differ only in how many wraps come in the box; the wrap itself is identical. The right choice depends on how much you play and how many rackets you are keeping supplied, not on how much you want to spend per unit.

- Do I need both AURO Grip and the overgrip?
- They do different jobs, so most players use both. The overgrip is the consumable surface your hand touches and gets replaced when it wears. AURO Grip is a reusable reference for the continental grip and stays on the racket.
- Does the overgrip go over AURO Grip?
- No, it is the other way round. The overgrip wraps onto the handle first and AURO Grip sits on top of it, on the outermost layer. The order is base grip, then overgrip, then AURO Grip.
- How do I know whether to order the right-handed or left-handed version?
- Order the version matching the hand you play with. AURO Grip is not symmetrical, so the two are not interchangeable.
- Which overgrip format should I buy?
- Three wraps to find out whether it suits your hand, twelve for a season of regular play, and the sixty-unit drum for clubs and academies keeping several rackets supplied.
- Which sports does AURO Grip work with?
- It fits padel, tennis, pickleball, frontón and squash handles. The grip it teaches is the continental, which is the same reference across all of them.
- Is AURO Grip reusable?
- Yes. It is bought once per racket and moved or refitted as needed, unlike the overgrip, which is a consumable replaced through the season.
- How much is shipping and when will it arrive?
- Both depend on the destination, so they are calculated and confirmed at checkout before you pay. We do not quote a single figure here because it would be wrong for most addresses.
